All-American
In 1949 The Institute for American Democracy Inc. distributed booklets to schools that included a picture of Superman talking about how bullying others for being different is not only unkind, but "Un-American." Perhaps you have seen this image floating around the internet?
In the years since, our language regarding discrimination and prejudice has changed, but the heart remains the same. Hating and fearing people because they are different from us is simply un-American. It goes against the principles this country was founded upon. If you agree, I hope you will join us in making it clear that discrimination and hate speech have no place in our communities and places of business.
You may have seen recently in local news about a transgender employee at Space Camp who is being targeted simply for being different. Calls for them to be fired are not only illegal, but horrifying. This just should not happen in America.
